Stranger 23: Sun-Kissed Lady

Stranger No. 21: Framed Artist by lancelonie, on FacebookThe Autumn Sun Kissed Her Face

I like her expression - no pretenses. I think it's the same look she had before I interrupted her solitude. She knew exactly how to play the no-smile game so I'd say we got another winner here!

Question 9 submitted by the Maundering Mutterer

The Flickrite features the Maundering Mutterer, a blogger who considers herself a "sucker for punishment"; hence, her interesting question of the week below...

A word player of "oddiments, eccentricities and speculations", the self-proclaimed mutterer shares her life and speaks or probably sings her heart out . . . with a strum of her guitar.

Let yourself be entertained with some well-written ramblings of this devoted daughter to an ailing mother at Maundering Mutterer.

But first, consider this...
You are shown a room containing a captive.  You are told that this person has done many terrible things.
You are shown a button and you're told that if you press it, that person will die.
If you don't press it, ten innocent people who you've never seen will die instead.  It's up to you.
What will you do?

The Switch by Nelonie Crelencia aka lancelonie
The modern dilemma is essentially a spiritual one; and every one of its main aspects:
moral, political and scientific, brings us back to the need of a religious solution.

ohhh, the flapper age is a good one!

I doubt 99% of all persons asked this question could give a realistic answer. Why? Because killing someone is probably the worst act imaginable. The majority of persons can bring no relevant experience to bear when coming up with an answer, so most responses will in the main be meaningless. As to applying the principles of utilitarianism, I'd hazard a guess and say the enormity of killing one person is probably equal to killing ten. There is no formula for moral action.

Hey Lancelonie
That is a very evocative pic! Must visit your flickr and have a proper look through. Should be arty. As for the question, I haven't an answer either. Maybe I'd feign some sort of a fit so that I could be absolved of all responsibility.

I'd probably say, "Oh I get it! I'm on candid camera!"
