Hurricane Irene: a state of emergency for chips

Hurricane Irene is here and if you watch the news around here, you'd think it will wipe out the entire population.  They even suspended all public transportation, which never happened before; and New Jersey is in state of emergency.  Huge hoopla as usual and most likely nothing serious will happen.  But who knows?  Strange things have been happening here lately, like an earthquake earlier on this week. ~Roman Skrada, on Flickr

Because of hurricane Irene, for the 1st time in history, the NYC subway system - the world's biggest, will shut down at noon Saturday.  Rails, bridges and tunnels are closed, too.  Mandatory evacuations in lower and coastal parts of NYC, Atlantic City / Jersey shore are on.  It's warm & sunny today, the calm before the strongest storm in 50+ years...  Good I stocked up on chips, chocolates and water.  30 hours to showtime... ~Ron De Leon, on Facebook
